Description

I've been wanting to do one of these for a long time, so here it is, my OC Emi Nakamura.
Template was made by :iconopf4e-n:

Emi is pronounced "e-me" which mean's "beautiful blessing" in japanese. It may not actually be pronounced like that, but it will be for my character.

Emi appears in the series shortly before Naruto and the rest of his class graduate from the academy and become Genin. Like everyone in her graduating class she is twelve years old, but she leaves town at an early age to travel with her mother across the country. Her mother, Kiyomi (which means "pure beauty") Nakamura, is a Jounin from the Leaf Village who is in charge of an organization that involves traveling across the country as well as neighboring countries. (I have not yet decided what type of organization it is, but I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of a peace organization.) While doing so, Emi is tutored and learns the same content that is covered in the Leaf Village academy. Therefore, when Emi and her mother return to the village shortly before the students are tested to become genin, Kiyomi insists that Emi is an exceptional child and requests that she should be allowed to be tested. In the end, Emi is given permission to do so and passes, becoming a genin.

Emi's mother Kiyomi is rather strict. She expects nothing less that excellence from her daughter. Excellence in this case, takes in consideration of Emi's age. Kiyomi does not expect Emi to be as talented as a Jounin, but expects her to be exceptional for her age and at the top of her class. Therefore, due to the way she has been raised, Emi is relatively calm, quiet, and respectful at the beginning of the series. She becomes more outspoken as time goes on, due to her friends.

Emi specializes in both ninjutsu and taijutsu. At the beginning of the series, when she becomes a genin and is placed in squad 7, she knows only taijutsu. She was taught by her mother, who is an expert at taijutsu, and spent a large portion of her childhood training her body. About four months after Naruto leaves the village to train with Jeraiya, Emi leaves to train under her uncle, Kei Nakamura. This is when she learns the ninjutsu of the Nakamura clan (a small, wind chakra nature clan), which involves specialized swords and an immense amount of chakra control. Emi's technique involves infusing chakra with the blade of her sword (a katana). This allows her to increase the slicing ability of the sword to the point where it can slice through hard substances, even the ground (Similar to what Sasuke's Chedori has done when he charges an opponent, the chakra emerging from the tip of Emi's sword will slice the ground when she carries it low while charging.) This technique is similar to Asuma Sarutobi's, which is why she becomes quite fond of him.

The downside to this ninjutsu is that it takes a lot of chakra and chakra control. Therefore, it can only be done for a short period of time.

Since Emi is an exception to the academy in the Leaf Village, she has no choice but to be apart of a four-person-squad. She is placed in squad 7. This is due to the fact that the squad leader is Kakashi Hatake, who is known to very strict in passing his students. This was to test if Emi is truly as exceptional as she had been claimed to be. Little did anyone know that Kakashi would pass his students that year.

She eventually participates in the first Chuunin exams (first in the series) and passes the preliminary rounds, but she either does not get the chance to fight in the finals (due to the Sand invasion) or she loses her match. Throughout the time Emi spent with her squad and during the Chuunin exams, she is often judged by other shinobi. This is because some have heard she was labeled "exceptional" and became the fourth member of a squad, which then they question her abilities.

I have not yet officially decided when she becomes a Chuunin, but it will most likely be shortly before she leaves town to train or after (before Naruto comes back from his training).

As for Emi's mother, Kiyomi is twenty-seven years old at the beginning of the series. (Yes, that makes her 15 years old when she has Emi. Shoot me.) Kiyomi has a history with Kakashi Hatake, for they knew each other at an early age. I have not yet decided how their lives intertwined when they were young, but they knew each other well enough at some point that the grew to really like each other. However, Kakashi eventually grows distant from her, possibly related to his past, and the two then don't see each other for quite some time. They begin to cross paths with each other at the beginning of the series, and their old feelings for each other come back.

Emi's father died during the time when the Nine-Tailed Fox attacked the Leaf Village. This was shortly after Emi was born. Therefore, Emi was never able to meet her father and Kiyomi has refused to tell her much about him.

As for Emi's personality and other traits, she is relatively calm and collected, but can become a little outspoken when she's upset. She's a quick thinker, and quick on her feet (due to her taijutsu abilities). She usually does not overreact to simple things, and is admired for that by her classmates.

Additional Information:

DOB : August 9

Height: 154 cm (at age 15-16; apparently people are very small at this age?)

Friends:
At the time she comes back to the village, she basically has no friends. She eventually befriends Sakura Haruno, then Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, due to being in the same squad. As the series progresses, she becomes friends with the majority of the students in her graduating class, such as Kiba Inuzuka, Ino Yamanaka, and shikamaru Nara. She even becomes friend with other slightly older ninja such as Rock Lee.

People She Admires:
There are a number of people she admires, such as Rock Lee, Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake, and Asuma Sarutobi. She greatly admires Rock Lee for his taijutsu abilities and often says her own taijutsu fails in comparison. Emi at first found Naruto to be very annoying, but she eventually grows to admire his heart and determination. As for Sasuke Uchiha, she admires him for his talents and low-key personality. However, she later begins to despise him for leaving the village and how it affected Naruto and Sakura.

Emi greatly admires Kakashi Hatake for practically everything he does (his strength, dedication and determination) and Asuma Sarutobi for his similar wind chakra abilities and how he treats his students.

Random Facts:

● Rather than constantly carrying her sword around, Emi uses a summoning scroll to summon her sword when she needs it.

● Her favorite colors are blue and yellow.

● She looks a lot like her mother and is often told that. (Kakashi in particular says/notes this)

● She has a crush on Kiba Inuzuka (He likes her too). The two are seen out on dates later in the series.

● She also has a crush on shikamaru Nara.

● She is friends with both Sakura and Ino and therefore often gets stuck in the middle of their quarrels.

● While she's usually good at controlling herself, there times when Naruto's behavior will push her over the limit and she will, much like Sakura, beat on him.

Awesome! Is this real character? In wich chapter of anime he appears? Because I've never seen this character on Naruto anime/manga and in no one site appears Emi Nakaruma, but I have seen her in anime, he looks a little bit to Hinata.
